Our story

Upp was founded on the shared belief of friends seasoned in high-profile AI, data, and engineering projects in the EU and the USA. We realized that by combining our skills and cross-industry experience from startups and enterprises under one roof, we could offer a complete range of AI & data services.

We saw two big problems preventing companies from doing great things with data & AI: first, too many AI projects were failing to finish. Second, there was a huge gap in skills and not enough talent — it’s hard for companies to keep up with fast-evolving tech. Seeing this, we’ve set a clear objective: to give businesses the tools they need to stay ahead and make AI & ML projects more successful.

Founding team

Davor Korman

Davor has been specializing in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI since 2017, with knowledge across 8 different sectors and work experience in corporate, freelance, and startup roles, including a Google-backed venture in New York. He has helped startups build successful products from the ground up, and lead & develop their teams and companies.

Dragutin Oreški

Dragutin specializes in all things data and has over 7 years of experience in engineering scalable data platforms and optimizing information processing for large systems. With a proven track record of implementing effective data ingestion and quality assurance processes, Dragutin excels in preparing the groundwork for advanced data analytics and AI-driven innovations.

Renowned for his sharp business acumen, he excels in bringing in and aligning exceptional individuals toward a common ambitious goal.

Matej Jusup
Advisor

Matej is a dedicated doctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, where he is working on multi-agent reinforcement learning models under the Transporation Systems group and the AI center. Before starting his scientific career he was a Data Scientist for risk models at Morgan Stanley in Budapest and New York, and a Data Science team lead at CantabPI on fintech and pharma projects.
